Gusting winds, a girl of sunlight, an empty space, a friendly tune, with a bat and crow all greet him, as he strays through caves and sea. Then a whirlpool to Earths memory sucks him down beneath that sea. When you hear voices in the wind, and see people made in sunlight, then you agree to do strange things. Tim did this and strange things happened. Great winds, a girl of sunlight, a conceited crow, a tune, and a friendly bat gather round him, as he travels over mountains, through nightmare caves, and over a sea. He is chased by an angry storm, until a whirlpool sucks him down deep into the memory of the Earth. There he is stalked by a hungry nothing he hopes to find. Young adults and even those not so young will enjoy this tale. Hard to neatly categorize, for it seems at first to be a childrens book but its deeper than most- nature lovers will enjoy it, but one need not be hardcore- it even has a bit of mysticism in it. The Wind, the Sun, and a nice little dog named Tea all appear. Good read for all seasons. H. Townsend, Georgetown D.C.
